Fortuna Sittard vs Sparta Rotterdam (19 December 2026, Eredivisie): match facts, H2H and recent form

Fortuna Sittard host Sparta Rotterdam in what promises to be a pivotal clash in the lower half of the table. Sitting seventh with ten points from six games – three wins, a draw and two defeats – the Dutch side have scored 12 and conceded 14, a goal difference that hints at defensive frailties they will need to tighten. Sparta sit just above the relegation zone in 12th place, having gathered five points from one win, two draws and three losses, and their 10‑13 record shows they have struggled both to find the net and to keep clean sheets. The two clubs have met only sparingly this season, but the points at stake could see Fortuna aim to cement a top‑half finish while Sparta fights to climb out of the danger zone. Both sides will be eager to turn their modest goal tallies into a decisive result on the Saturday afternoon.
