ST Johnstone vs Falkirk (9 January 2027, Scottish Premiership): match facts, H2H and recent form

ST Johnstone head into the home fixture against Falkirk perched in seventh place with seven points from two wins, one draw and three defeats, having scored eight and conceded nine. Their opponents sit in the relegation‑watch zone at eleventh, holding just two points after three games, all of which have ended without a win and a goal tally of three for and seven against. The gap between the two sides is five points, but the difference in goal difference – Johnstone’s –1 versus Falkirk’s –4 – underscores the home side’s slight edge. Historically, Johnstone have shown a stronger record this season, while Falkirk will be desperate to snap a winless streak and climb out of the bottom half. Both teams will be keen to improve their positions as the league table tightens.
