Ajax – FC Sion

Ajax secured a thrilling 5‑3 home victory over FC Sion, extending their lead to fifth place with ten points from three wins, a draw and a loss, and a comfortable +8 goal difference. The win lifted them further ahead of the relegation‑threatened Sion, who remain 33rd with eight points after two wins, two draws and two defeats, having conceded one more than they have scored. The match added to Ajax’s dominance in the season’s head‑to‑head, having already won both previous encounters against the Swiss side. With the three points, Ajax now sit firmly in the top half of the table, while Sion’s fight for survival becomes even more precarious.
