HNK Rijeka – FC Midtjylland

In a striking European night at the Rijeka stadium, FC Midtjylland turned the tables on the hosts with a convincing 4‑1 victory, extending their unbeaten run to four wins and lifting them to 12 points in 12th place. The Croatian side, languishing in 24th with just ten points from three wins, a draw and two defeats, could only manage a solitary goal while conceding four, worsening their goal difference to –2. Midtjylland’s attack, already prolific with an 11‑3 tally, continued to impress, whereas Rijeka’s defensive frailties were laid bare. The head‑to‑head record this season now reads two wins for the Danes and none for the Croatians, underscoring the widening gap between the two clubs.
