Villarreal – Osasuna

Villarreal host Osasuna in a La Liga clash that could prove pivotal for both sides. The hosts sit 18th with just two points from four games – no wins, two draws and two defeats, and a goal‑difference of minus two after conceding eight while scoring six. Osasuna, meanwhile, sit comfortably in 11th place, having amassed seven points from two victories, one draw and two losses, though they have also let in eight goals against five scored. The two teams have met only sparingly this season, and Villarreal will be desperate to turn their fortunes around before the winter break, while Osasuna will look to consolidate their mid‑table position by snatching points away from a struggling side. A positive result for Villarreal could lift them out of the relegation zone, whereas a win for Osasuna would keep them within striking distance of a European spot.
