NEC Nijmegen vs Ajax (21 March 2027, Eredivisie): match facts, H2H and recent form

NEC Nijmegen host a top‑five Ajax side that sit fifth with ten points after four games, having won three, drawn one and lost once while boasting a 14‑6 goal difference. The home team sit just outside the European places in tenth, with seven points from six matches – two wins, a draw and three defeats, and a narrow -1 goal margin. The clash pits NEC’s modest 11‑12 tally against Ajax’s superior attacking record, and the Dutch giants will look to extend their lead over the mid‑table while Nijmegen will be desperate to close the gap and climb out of the relegation‑threat zone. Their last meetings have favoured Ajax, but a home crowd could make the tie tighter than the standings suggest.
