Benfica vs Heart Of Midlothian (6 August 2026, UEFA Europa League): match facts, H2H and recent form

Benfica turned their Estádio da Luz into a goal‑fest, dispatching Heart of Midlothian 6‑1 to cement their place in second spot with 16 points from six games, having scored 21 and conceded just four. The Scottish side, languishing at the foot of the table on 2 points, could only manage a solitary goal despite matching their season‑long goal difference of three. The result widened the gap in the head‑to‑head record for the current campaign, giving Benfica the sole win in their three meetings, while the previous draw remains the only point Hearts have ever taken from the Portuguese giants. With five victories and a draw already secured, Benfica now sit comfortably above the relegation battle that engulfs the league’s lower echelons.
