Carrarese – Benevento

Benevento snatched a vital away win at Carrarese, edging the Serie C side 1‑0 and climbing to seventh place with seven points from five matches. The defeat left Carrarese stranded at the bottom of the table, still on just one point after five games and still winless. The result widened the gap between the two clubs in their head‑to‑head this season, giving the visitors the sole victory after an earlier stalemate. With Carrarese’s goal‑difference now a bleak –4 and Benevento’s improved to +1, the gap in form between the two sides is becoming increasingly stark.
