Fiorentina – Benevento

Fiorentina turned their home ground into a showcase of attacking intent, thrashing Benevento 4‑1 and vaulting themselves to 17th place with four points from six matches. The victory lifted their goal tally to six while trimming the deficit in goals conceded to twelve, narrowing the gap to the league’s safety zone. Benevento, sitting seventh with seven points, saw their modest +1 goal difference shrink to just one after the heavy loss, leaving them just five goals ahead of the opposition in the overall table. The result also tipped the head‑to‑head balance this season in Fiorentina’s favour, as they now hold the sole win in their two‑meeting series.
